In a strategic position, located close to the city’s major terminals (Piazzale Roma and the Venezia Santa Lucia train station are just a 10 minute walk away), the apartment is in the historic centre of Venice, making it the perfect departure point for discovering the city’s treasures.
The area is off the beaten tourist path, making it perfect for uncovering a more authentic side to Venice, brimming with less well-known historical corners, restaurants and bars frequented by the locals. Rich in artistic and cultural interest, it is a short distance away from the majestic Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, one of Venice’s largest churches, a trove of important works by Tiziano, Canova, Bellini and Tintoretti. Other monuments close to the apartment include the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, the Church of San Giacomo dall’Orio and the Scuola Grande dei Carmini.
A pleasant walk route will take to the Rialto, Accademia and San Marco neighbourhoods, the latter is also easily accessible by crossing the Grand Canal on the San Tomà Ferry Gondola, just 7 minutes away from the apartment.
