Location
The apartment is located inside the fourteenth-century Palazzetto of the Sansoni, with three-lobed windows, a Gothic shield with a crest and a Byzantine frame from the ninth century. The apartment is on the third floor, overlooking Campiello dei Sansoni, typical Campiello Veneziano bordering the small canal that leads to Rialto, called Rio delle Beccherie.
The location is very central and strategic for those who want to visit and get to know Venice and experience the city like the Venetians. At the same time tranquility and quiet are guaranteed thanks to its location in a calle inside the main road of Ruga Rialto. Shops, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, museums, banks, supermarkets, churches, monuments can be reached in a few steps.
The apartment is easily reachable on foot from Venezia Piazzale Roma (bus station and car park), from Tronchetto and from Santa Lucia train station (about 20 minutes walk).
The nearest ACTV vaporetto stops are Rialto Mercato (line 1), San Silvestro (line 1), Rialto (lines 1 and 2), and are about 250 meters on foot.
A boat service ALILAGUNA directly connects the international airport of Venice Marco Polo with Rialto (orange line).
A 2-minute walk is the Rialto Market which houses the traditional fish market under the Logge della Pescaria (Pescheria), and the fruit and vegetable market in the adjacent Campo de l’Erbaria (Piazza delle Erbe).
If you want to immerse yourself in the true Venetian folk atmosphere, this is really a must. Attended by a lively crowd of curious citizens and tourists, with its many stalls, the many varieties of products on display and the thousands of voices and colors that animate it, it represents the historic heart of Venice.
